26/7/2016 – Back from DR of Congo, Rwanda & Uganda expedition

Dave Lucas has just returned from guiding an exciting expedition that took a team explorers on an adventure to the Virunga National park in Democratic Republic of Congo. The team saw mountains gorillas, lava lakes and active volcanoes while trekking through the little explored areas of the national park, among many other unique and memorable experiences.

One of the most impressive and inspiring part of the expedition was meeting the rangers of the Virunga National Park. These are the people who help to protect the magnificent mountain gorillas, often risking their lives while doing it. We strongly recommend you to watch the Virunga documentary film. It is one of the most powerful films we have ever seen and we cannot recommend it highly enough. It also highlights the fact how important tourism is for the protection of the mountain gorillas.
